Dr. Travis Brachtenbach, DO, MS

Dr. Travis Brachtenbach is a Hematologyand Oncology Fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he also serves as Chief Fellow. In this role, he leads fellowship coordination efforts, supports program development, and collaborates closely with institutional leadership to enhance clinical education and training. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Brachtenbach also holds a Master of Science in Forensic Toxicology, reflecting a strong foundation in research and scientific analysis. Dr. Brachtenbach has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations focused on oncology, clinical guidelines, and patient care outcomes. His clinical interests include hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and improving quality of care through research and system-based initiatives.
