About

Dr. Katherine Moxley earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and her Master of Science in clinical and translational research from the University of Oklahoma College of Public Health in Oklahoma City. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She worked as a clinical gynecologic oncologist at the Stephenson Cancer Center and as an associate professor in the OU College of Medicine, after which she became associate professor and chief of gynecologic oncology at the University of Michigan. She continues to pursue both clinical and translational research in collaboration with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the National Cancer Institute. She has furthered her professional leadership development through the Rudi Ansbacher Advancing Women in Academic Medicine Leadership Scholars Program and has received multiple research and faculty teaching awards. Dr. Moxley is also a member the cervical cancer disease site committee for the NRG oncology group and the National Cancer Institute Cervical Cancer Task Force. She is a committee chair of the diversity, equity and inclusion committee of NRG oncology, and she is an active member of various professional societies, including the Society for Gynecologic Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Moxley brings clinical expertise in gynecologic oncology care, as well as implementation of early and late phase clinical trials in the treatment of women with gynecologic malignancies. Her ongoing research includes understanding and addressing molecular mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in the gynecologic cancers and establishing models to promote early phase clinical trial development in high-risk gynecologic cancer.
