Angela Abbott earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN-FNP) from Simmons University in Boston, MA, in 2023, building on a strong foundation that began with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Rogers State University in 2013. Prior to her nursing career, Angela earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from East Central University in 2003 and worked as a kindergarten teacher, nurturing her passion for helping others.
Angela joined the team at OCSRI after serving as an advanced practice provider in a high-volume urgent care setting. Her diverse clinical nursing background includes post-surgical GYN, postpartum, OB/GYN, lead surgical nurse in an outpatient surgery center, and providing home health care. Her experience demonstrates her passion for patient advocacy, intervention training, clinical leadership, and patient education.
Angela is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners.
