OCSRI is offering healing yoga on Mondays from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the second-floor Conference Room. Nancy Morgan, a board-certified integrative nurse coach, mind-body medicine skills group facilitator and family cancer caregiver, will be leading the sessions.
Participants should bring their own mat. Props are encouraged but not required. All yoga experience levels are welcome. The poses can be done on the floor as well as in a chair.
Healing yoga has many benefits for cancer survivors. It promotes relaxation, empowerment and well-being. Yoga also increases strength, range of motion and flexibility while boosting immune function, energy and pain tolerance. Healing yoga can detoxify and assist lymphatic drainage while helping to harness the mind-body connection for complete healing.
OCSRI welcomes you to sign up with a scheduler in the front lobby or call 918-505-3200 for more information.
